The Queen v FS
FS was charged with 'reckless wounding' after an argument with a partner.
The prosecution alleged the wound had been occasioned by FS stabbing or slicing the alleged victim with a large kitchen knife. FS pleaded not guilty and the matter proceeded to a defended Hearing in the Local Court.
Chris Cole appeared for FS. After a three day Hearing, the Magistrate found the Police had not proven their case against FS and accordingly found FS not guilty of the offence. This was another fantastic result, as FS would have either been deported from Australia or placed into gaol had a finding of guilty been returned against FS, as the offence was one which carries a maximum penalty of 7 years imprisonment.
